Anna María Pétursdóttir
Anna María Pétursdóttir is an entrepreneur with a wide background in leading projects both in Iceland, Sweden and Norway. Anna María is the founder and CEO of Coolity ehf.
She has experience in different areas, such as business innovation and cross border trade, having worked as a consultant for Nordic Innovation. She has been involved in research projects, related to sustainability in the fish industry. She has management experience and familiarity with private and official industry
Previously Anna María served as a Director for Coca Cola in Iceland, Manager at Central Bank of Iceland and Manager at University of Iceland. She has published many articles in Newspapers on Innovation and Management.

Björn Margeirsson PhD
Björn Margeirsson holds a BSc in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Iceland (2003), an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology (2007), and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iceland (2012). His doctoral dissertation focused on modelling of temperature changes during the transport of fresh fish products.
Alongside his doctoral studies, Björn worked as a specialist, project manager, and research group leader at Matís ohf. from 2007 to 2013. He served as research director at the sister companies Sæplast and Tempra from 2013 to 2023, focusing on research and product development of insulated, reusable, and single-use food packaging. He worked as an independent engineering consultant in 2024.
Since 2007, Björn has also been involved in teaching, research, and supervising master’s and doctoral students at the University of Iceland. He has supervised two PhD students, 23 master’s students, and published 14 peer-reviewed scientific articles, most of which deal with fresh fish packaging, their insulation, strength, and/or impact on fish quality.
He grew up on a farm in Skagafjörður in Iceland and developed an early interest in the efficient use of grass and other natural resources.

Arnar Bjarnason PhD
Arnar Bjarnason is the chief financial officer at Coolity (CFO) and will manage financial tasks based on his 30 years experience in investment, corporate finance and extensive experience in banking.
Arnar graduated with a doctorate degree (PhD)1994. Arnar’s doctoral thesis dealt with the export behavior and internationalization of Icelandic fisheries companies.
Arnar has served on the board of numerous companies, such as: Landsvirkjun, ALCAN in Iceland, ICEMART, Ingvar Helgason hf., Netbankinn hf., Frjalsa Investment Bank hf., BYR Savings Bank and Bær hf. who owns and operates Hotel Klaustur. Currently Arnar is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Central Bank of Iceland.
Arnar has published several articles in pee reviewed academic journals and his book "Export or Die.The Icelandic fishing industry: the nature and behavior of its export sector", which is based on his doctorate thesis was published by the fisheries Institute of the University of Iceland in 1996.

Guðrún Svana Hilmarsdóttir
Guðrún Svana Hilmarsdóttir holds a BSc in biochemistry from the University of Iceland (2013), an MSc in seafood production, with an emphasis on quality and safety, from the Technical Universities of Norway and Denmark (NTNU and DTU, 2016). Guðrún defended her doctoral thesis on Identification of quality and environmental hotspots during pelagic fishmeal and fish oil production in 2022.
Guðrún Svana is an assistant professor of food science at the University of Iceland and an expert in process control, sustainability in food processing and life cycle assessment (LCA).
